Appraisal License Program Options
The programs listed below include the Qualifying Education (QE) courses required by the TALCB to earn a Texas Real Estate Appraiser Trainee license all the way up to a Certified Residential Appraisal License. The additional education required to upgrade your Trainee license are included in the higher priced programs. Champions does not currently offer a Certified General program.

TALCB Required Qualifying Education (QE) Courses
The following courses are required by the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board (TALCB) and must be completed by every license applicant.
Course Description
Continue to establish your foundation for the appraisal profession by learning the steps for appraising all types of real property. This course reviews the three approaches to value (the Cost Approach, Sales Comparison Approach, and the Income Capitalization Approach) and explores real-world examples of each approach to value.

Course Description
Market analysis and highest and best use are key elements involved in a credible real property valuation. This course will give you the tools and insights needed to expand your knowledge in these critical analyses. It reviews the basics of analysis, including definitions and terminology, boosts your knowledge of common methodologies used to extract information from the market, and explores the concept of highest and best use and the theory of consistent use.

Get up-to-speed on the techniques and procedures associated with writing a proper appraisal report and uncover the various reporting options available. Learn the foundational requirements for these reports, which are taken from USPAP and intended users such as Fannie Mae and HUD. You will also enhance your learning with interactive case studies on a single-family dwelling and a three-unit residential income property.
