As a licensee in Texas, you are required to renew your license every two years to remain active. A renewal notice will be sent out (by TREC) about 90 days prior to your expiration date. Before applying for renewal and paying the renewal fee, you are required to complete Continuing Education courses to ensure that you continue to deliver competent and quality Real Estate services.

You may renew your license up to six months after the expiration date (Additional late fees may apply). After six months and up to two years past the expiration date, you may apply for reinstatement of your license. After two years past the expiration date, you will have to reapply and pass the state exam again.
